Addressing Needs On Both Ends Of The Leash
Our vision is bold, our work is unstoppable.
We’re not just rescuing animals…we’re rewriting their stories. When others say “too sick,” “too scared,” or “too much,” we step up. From complex medical cases to behavioral transformations, we take on what others can’t. Our transport program moves at-risk pets to safety, our expert training saves even the most misunderstood dogs, and our adoption experience lead the way. We fight for every life. Our commitment is unbreakable, because every animal deserves a chance to not just survive, but thrive.
Who is Furry Friends Humane?
At Furry Friends Humane, we are here for the animals, every single day. Based at 100 Capital Street in Jupiter, Florida, we operate 365 days a year because there are no days off in rescue.
We’re more than just a shelter. We’re a modern, solution-driven animal rescue working to save lives and build a better future for pets and their people.
Our mission is clear: we focus where the need is greatest. We are Palm Beach County Animal Care & Control’s #1 rescue partner, and we pull exclusively from Florida’s municipal shelters, where thousands of healthy, adoptable animals face euthanasia simply because there isn’t enough space. Florida ranks as one of the worst states in the nation for shelter overcrowding and we’re working urgently to change that.
Through our Lifesaving Relocation Program, Shelter to Service Dog Program, Behavior and Training Program, and Humane Education Program, we support not just pets, but also patriots, kids, seniors, and the overcrowded shelters that urgently need relief. Every program we run is designed to save lives, prevent surrenders, and keep families together.
What makes us different is how we do it. We are a 100% no-kill rescue, and we back it up with action. Our public veterinary clinic isn’t just a community resource,it’s also where our dedicated shelter medicine team provides lifesaving care for the animals in our rescue, including some of the most complex and critical medical cases in South Florida. Our thrift boutique in Jupiter directly funds our rescue efforts, generating vital revenue to support our work. We keep adoption fees among the lowest in the region to break down barriers and make pet ownership accessible.
We aren’t just following best practices,we’re setting them. When you support Furry Friends Humane, you’re not just helping today’s animals, you’re shaping tomorrow’s rescue.
